Washington Post reporter Annie Linskey noticed a sculpture that was previously owned by the late Senator Daniel K. Inouye in President Biden's Oval Office.

Sitting on President Biden's bookshelf is a sculpture of a horse and rider by Allan Houser from the Chiricahua Apache tribe.
"Swift Messenger" was created in 1990 and was a gift from Santa Fe sculptor Allan Houser to Senator Daniel K. Inouye. The Senator was the government sponsor responsible for the building of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian.
