Born in 1964, the only child of Senator Inouye was raised in Washington and Honolulu. After the death of his father, Ken Inouye moved back home and he currently lives with his family in Mililani.
Ken Inouye was in the entertainment industry and has expertise in arts management, copyright and anti-piracy. He provided strategic counsel to the film, recording, and video game industries. His clients included major media and telecommunications companies in Washington DC.

While attending George Washington University, she worked for Senator Inouye in Washington DC from 1975-1978. Gloria met the Senator's wife Maggie and their son Ken when he was 11 years old. After decades in media in Washington DC she moved back home in 2014 to raise her daughter in Hawaii.
